Pastor Carlton L. Aiken Sr. is the Senior Pastor of Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church, located in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A dedicated and passionate servant of God, Pastor Aiken is known for his powerful preaching, dynamic teaching, and anointed singing. His ministry inspires, uplifts, and brings countless souls to Christ.

Under his leadership, “The Room,” as the church is affectionately known, has grown to over 500 members and has become a spiritual and community anchor in Philadelphia. Pastor Aiken remains committed to the church’s mission:
“Committed to building the Kingdom for the body of Christ.”

Together with First Lady Brandee Elizabeth Aiken, Pastor Aiken has faithfully served Upper Room for over 14 years. This year, they joyfully celebrate 30 years of marriage and 14 years of pastoral leadership. A true testament to their enduring love, unwavering faith, and commitment to ministry. They are the proud parents of nine children, custodial parents of three, and doting grandparents to five grandchildren. Family remains the heart of their mission, and they deeply cherish their time together.

Pastor Aiken is a bi-vocational pastor and entrepreneur. He is a graduate and former scholarship athlete of Northeastern University, where he served as captain of the football team, and a graduate of the Philadelphia Urban League Leadership Forum.

His lifelong journey in ministry began as a child growing up in the Upper Room and has included service in several key roles:

• Licensed Associate Minister
• Ordained Associate Pastor
• Interim Pastor of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church

He has also served as:

• Vice Moderator of the East – Pennsylvania Eastern Keystone Baptist Association (PEKBA)
• Music Director – RUWACH Global Fellowship of Churches
• Current Member – Kingdom Agenda Pastors Association
• Newest Member – Baptist Pastors and Ministers Conference of Woodbury & Vicinity
